Paul K. Douglas, O.D., F.A.A.O. Optometrist
Graduated from Western Michigan University in 1961 and graduated from Southern
College of Optometry in 1963, with a doctoral degree in Optometry and a Bachelor
of Science degree.
He is the past president and member of the Michigan Optometric Association. He
is a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry. Paul is a member of the Saginaw
Valley Optometric Society. He is also past president of the Saginaw Valley
Rotary Club. He currently participates as a volunteer in teaching general
physician residents about the eye who attend Synergy Medical Education
Alliance.

Joseph K. Douglas, O.D., Optometrist
Dr. Douglas, who is a Saginaw native, came to Douglas Family Vision in 2000. He
received his doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in
2000. He completed his undergraduate work at Miami University of Ohio.
He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Michigan
Optometric Association and the Michigan Eye Associates. He is also a member of
the Saginaw Valley Optometric Association in which is currently the
vice-president. He was a member of Student Volunteers for Optometric Service to
Humanity (SVOSH), in which he gave free eye exams and glasses to the people of
small outlying communities in Costa Rica. He also participates as a volunteer in
teaching general physician residents about the eye who attend Synergy Medical
Education Alliance.

Marge, Office Manager
Marge joined our staff in 1985 as a contact lens technician and assistant
optician working part-time. In 1986 she became a full time member of the team and
was promoted to office manager in 1995. Marge regularly attends meetings and
classes to stay updated on insurance billing.

Barb, Paraoptometric Technician
Barb joined Douglas Family Vision in 1996. She is a graduate of the Ferris State
University in 1996 with an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences and Optometric
Technician. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the
Michigan Paraoptometric Association. Barb is the treasurer for the Michigan
Paraoptometric Association. She also participates in the Special Olympics –
Opening Eyes Vision Screening program.

Jean, Receptionist/Lasik Coordinator
Jean has been a member of our team since 1996. She first started out as our
optician assistant, the contact lens instructor for insertion and removal and
receptionist, until 2005. She has been in the optical field since 1974. She
coordinates and plans Lasik surgeries with The Laser Center (TLC) for all of our
patients.

Steve, Optician
Steve has been apart of Douglas Family Vision since 1986. He has 30 years of
experience in the optical profession.

Dawn, Assistant Optician
Dawn is our newest member of Douglas Family Vision. She started in early 2005
with our practice. She has been in the optical field since 1998. She is a member
of the Michigan Opticians Association. She teaches contact lens insertion and
removal techniques, performs the visual field test and is the optician
assistant.
